How it works

1

Drop your files

Drag PNG files in, or click to choose them. Add as many as you like — no daily caps, no batch limits.

2

Convert to JPG locally

Your browser decodes and re-encodes each image on this device. The HEIC engine (a small WebAssembly module) only loads when it's actually needed.

3

Download

Grab files one by one or hit Download all. Converted images are created in memory — nothing is stored or transmitted.

About png to jpg converter

PNG files are lossless — and often huge. Email providers bounce them, upload forms reject them for size, and they waste storage. Converting PNG to JPG typically cuts photos to a fraction of the size, which is usually what "this image is too large" situations actually need.

Transparency note: JPG has no alpha channel, so transparent areas are filled with white during conversion. For images that must keep transparency, use the WebP target instead.

Why convert in your browser

Truly private

Cloud converters upload every photo to their servers. Here, 0 bytes leave your device — there is no upload code path at all.

No installs

No Microsoft Store extensions, no desktop apps, no browser add-ons. Open the page and it just works.

Unlimited batches

Cloud tools cap free use (CloudConvert: 10 per day). Your own device has no such limit — convert a whole camera roll.

No queue

Nothing to upload means nothing to wait for. Large batches start converting immediately, two files at a time.

Frequently asked questions

What happens to transparency when PNG becomes JPG?

JPG doesn't support transparency, so transparent pixels become white. If you need to keep them transparent, choose WebP as the target — it supports alpha like PNG.

How much smaller will my files get?

For photos and full-color screenshots, typically 50–80% smaller at quality 90. For flat graphics with few colors (charts, UI screenshots) the saving is smaller, and PNG can even win.

Is there a batch limit?

No. Add as many PNGs as you like and convert them in one go — the work happens on your device, so no one can cap it.

Are my photos uploaded to a server?

No — zero bytes are uploaded. Conversion runs entirely inside your browser using JavaScript and WebAssembly. There is no upload code path at all: you can even disconnect from the internet after the page loads and it still works.

Is there a limit on how many images I can convert?

No. Unlike cloud converters that cap you at 10–25 conversions per day or 200 files per batch, this tool converts as many files as you like, because your own device does the work.

Does it work on Windows, Mac, iPhone and Android?

Yes — any modern browser works (Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari). It is especially handy on Windows, where opening HEIC files normally requires codec extensions from the Microsoft Store.
